Terry Furstenau spends much of his time in Mid-Missouri building Personal Energy Transportation devices, providing mobility to more than 20,000 individuals worldwide. All of that he enjoys, but one thing he loves, is when he gets to see the individuals receive the device he helped build.
“It’s great to give it here and to see the promise that it has to offer, but when you can go back out, and see what a difference it has made in their lives, it’s just tremendous, it’s just tremendous,” Furstenau said.
“To see the happiness on these people’s faces, they all bless you,” Furstenau said. “This is probably the most important day in a lot of these people’s lives.”
All the hours of volunteering, all the time spent away from home, but when Furstenau sees it all come together, it’s all so worth it.
“It just restores your faith in people and in the work that we do,” Furstenau said.
